I worked for years in the performing arts as a technician  and I love to photograph live performance in all genres; theatre, dance, music, circus, carnival, performance art, street performance. In the last few years much of the work I have photographed has been outside of conventional theatrical venues, in streets, fields, beaches, derelict houses, warehouse spaces. There seems to be more performance outside of traditional venues which rather than being new  is a return to an even older way of doing things.
